These handmade candles have a unique two-wick design. Light the straight leg first; when the thighs are almost detached, then you can light the knee area to see some bending action. Remember to trim the wicks manually every hour, as they do not self-trim. The candles burn unevenly, with different rates of wax melting at various points given the sculptural nature of them. Never leave candles unattended. Because the rate of burn changes, it’s best to place your taper candle holder in a large tray if you intend to burn it.
These tapers have weight to them. Use a very sturdy taper candle holder, something with a decent amount of weight, to prevent any tipping.
